Meet 'No Hugs' Hattie

Hi! I’m Hattie. I don’t usually like to talk about myself but since we just met, and since I can’t really see you, I’m going to tell you two important things about myself.

One, I really like horseshoes. I love to carry my lucky horseshoe around with me. Two, I hate hugs. You might have already figured that out by the title of a new book about me called Hattie Hates Hugs coming in April 2022.

I’m really excited about that book. One time, an adult asked me if there was going to be a second book where I learn to like hugs.

No!

I hate hugs because that’s just the way I am. And now I know how to tell the people around me that I don’t want to be hugged. My great-grandma taught me how. I think you’re going to meet her soon.

Well, I’m off to pitch horseshoes. See you again in April!
